Plein Air Thursday

I went to Piatt Park (the first park in Cincinnati) to paint with the folks from SW Ohio Plein Air Painters on Thursday. Here is "William Henry Harrison at Piatt Park" from the west end of the park. The other end of the park is anchored by a statue of another Ohio president (Garfield). This is the only equestrian statue in Cincinnati and it's placed to face Covenant First Presbyterian Church across Elm Street. The day was another scorcher (heat index above 100) and it was on downtown pavement. Good thing I found a tree to hide under!
I also finsihed up the painting of "Sugar- Milford" (previous post) from Saturday.

  1. Hi Don, All three of these are just wonderful. I love the large landscape, it feels just right. Can't believe you made it out Thursday, wow. You did such a nice painting though, very interesting. The finish on the painting from Milford really came out nice too. Great you are busy painting.

  2. I am the owner of Sugar Cupcakery and was wondering if you want to sell this painting?
