Thank goodness we finally had a decent day to paint this week. Here is the finished painting for the commission given to me by Peggy Stover. A historic building and she wanted a current image. Hope this fills the bill!
The painting is of her insurance agency offices in downtown Mason, Ohio. It is mostly plein air with some touch-up from photos taken while painting on-site. I'll let it dry some and get varnish on it before delivery.

Monday- Mason Area Painters
This painting was completed yesterday in our MAP painting group. The subject matter was at the suggestion of a visitor to my booth at the Wyoming Art Show. I've been looking for a suitable "Weeping Willow", which was the subject of the request. I'll be contacting the possible patron to see if the painting meet her commission.

Mason Plein Air
At the request of Chuck Marshall (www.chuckmarshallfineart.com) several members of the Mason Area Painters are going to be painting in the downtown area of Mason, Ohio through the summer. Here is my first painting, "Dupriest Antiques" done yesterday. It was finally a little less humid, if still hot and as you can see sunny. I was approached about doing a commisioned painting of one of the other store fronts, so that's what I will start on next week.

More from Loveland
Here's the new painting from this week's MAP session. "Bike Path above O'Bannon Creek" is from a photo I shot on location in Loveland last week during the "Paint the Town" event.

Loveland- PTT 5
Boy this painting is hard to photograph! This image is really blurry, but it's the best I can get and still represent to correct values on the canvas. This is the last painting in the Paint The Town series for this year. I finished it on Saturday and it was so wet I had to touch it up yesterday, after the bugs and dirt that got in it at the Sunday show.
Sunday's "Wet Paint Sale" was successful with the sale of one of the paintings from this week (see comments below). I enjoyed the week-long outing and the intensity of all the work. I look forward to participating in this event again next year and others like it.

Loveland- PTT 4
It was a hot and sweaty morning by the railroad underpass in Loveland. I witnessed the results of a too large RV trying to fit under a too low railroad trestle. A smashing morning!
Rain all day today, so I'll be painting inside from photos taken this week.
