Plein Air– Lytle Park

Lytle Park View
12" x 16", Oil on Canvas
5/2013

A little different view of the Taft Museum, with more of Lytle Park showing in the forground. This one better places the Baum-Longworth-Sinton-Taft House in the East end of the Central Business District, below Mt. Adams. "A National Historic Landmark built about 1820 for Martin Baum, is the oldest domestic wooden structure in situ" in Cincinnati. It "considered one of the finest examples of Federal architecture in the Palladian style in the country."

  1. love this Don, but I really love that little tower in the background. I always love looking at it for some reason when I drive through the city.
